5. Who is he that overcometh the world: but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?6. This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.8. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.9. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.1 John 5:5-9 There is none who have overcome this world but Jesus Christ. All have fallen away, and only those that put all faith in Christ, will be saved. The redeemed will love Christ because He sacrificed Himself so they could live with Him. This did not happen instantly in my life, but is a progression of sanctification daily in my thoughts, words, and actions. Keeping Christ first is how we walk in His ways, and do the things that please Him. I have heard many say the Trinity is not mentioned in God's word, but as I read verse 7 I must disagree. You cannot come to the Father without Christ, and trying to live for Christ without the Holy Ghost is impossible. The Father testified of His Son that He was well pleased with every thing He did. And all who follow Him shall never regret one second of submission to the only Savior from sin. Amen.
