12. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.13. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:14. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.15. Then when the lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.16. Do not err, my beloved brethren. James 1:12-16 James, the half brother of Jesus instructs Christians. We are all tempted to sin, one who loves Christ above himself will stand against sin and continue in the way of Christ, having knowledge of what Christ suffered for the sins of men. The godly man will be tested as Christ was tested in the wilderness. And Christ, as a man, deflected the temptation with the word of God. We can do the same. Submitting ourselves to God, thoughts, words, and actions. Resisting the desires to sin, and the devil will flee, for Christ is your refuge. It is a battle every man of God shall face, and the reward is promised by Jesus, you shall obtain eternal life. We are born in sin, we had no teachers it was it us from the start. But Christ has won the Victory over it. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father, even the way to escape sin. A brother once told me, you cannot stop the bird (sin) from flying over your head, but you do not have to let build a nest in your hair. Keeping your mind on Christ, and what He went through so we could have eternal life. Makes it very hard to sin at the same time. If you love Him with all your heart you will do what pleases Him. Amen.
