1. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2. How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. 3. Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4. Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5. They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6. I have said, Ye are god's; and all of you are children of the most High. 7. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Psalm 82:1-7
This song was written to men in power. God is not slack in the operation of men.
His laws are to be obeyed, not to be watered down so as not to offend the masses.
Defend the fatherless, what a most evil thing to be imagined, like abortion.
Take care or the poor and needy in your own country, there is no reward to take from those in need, and give it to strangers.
Bringing violence in, when the citizens need protection.
The ungodly refuse to understand, they walk in darkness, the foundation of society are out of balance, when God's laws are ignored, and judgment is not true and swift, evil is multiplied.
Here, God said that judges and magistrates, are judging in His place, giving them this official post, as children of God, with a reward. But because they did not follow and put men above the Almighty, they forfeit the reward for eternal death, and fall to destruction, like Satan, the prince of darkness.
As followers of Christ, we can no longer keep silent, our voice must be heard in elections, in the law making process, putting God back in authority of this land, that evil men displaced. Amen.
