1. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
4. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
5. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
Psalm 40:1-5
If you can see this as Christ in the garden when He submitted Himself entirely to the will of His Father. The Father heard His cry, and delivered Him from the fear of death.
The Father brought Him up out of the grave, after He paid the price of sin for mankind. Raising Him from death and setting Him at His right hand.
All the elect of God, who are ordained to eternal life, shall sing this new song of salvation.
All are blessed that have put their trust in Christ, His sufferings, His death, and His resurrection. For because of Christ's work, they are safe and secure having now peace with God, and shall enjoy eternal happiness with Him.
And to us-ward, Christ's work, the sparring of sinful men, that no one could do but Christ. We are not able to number all who Christ's has redeemed by His sacrifice. Amen.
