#Repost///@museum.of.artifacts: Fingers of an enormous statue have been unearthed at the Temple of Hercules in Amman, Jordan. The temple dates back to around 160 CE, to the time when Amman was part of the Roman Empire.Dubbed the Hand of Hercules, this fragment, along with an elbow, are the only pieces yet discovered of a massive marble statue. Based on the size of its fingers, the statue may have towered as high as 40ft (12m).
