1. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.2. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.3. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.4. Their line is gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5. Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.Psalm 19:1-5 The psalmist here has a play on words, with a prophetic message. The heaven and the earth created by God, and by nothing else. Looking up at it at night, you see God's glory and His work. Now the word play, as the weather is talked about day and night all over the world, so is the Gospel, this very day. The Gospel spreads out in all directions. And as God created the sun, to shine and bring life to earth, so Christ, the Light of the World, was sent to bring eternal life to us. And as the sun races across the sky each day, so Christ came from His glory to us, such a short time was He here, but left messengers, who swiftly spread the Gospel of Christ's saving grace. There has never been anyone who did so much for mankind. Giving His life for ours. Amen.
