Thoughts on Today's Verse.... God answers prayers! Recent research into patients recovering from surgery for whom others prayed validates this truth. Our experience suggests it is true. The Bible promises us that it is so. Luke emphasized one specific answer to prayer that God-seekers receive. God longs to give us a truly remarkable and wonderful gift: his presence in us through his Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13). Because of the indwelling Spirit, God can do more for us through his power at work within than all we can ask or even imagine (Ephesians 3:20-21).
