Sixty-nine years ago today, the Dutch Society of Agriculture held a plowing competition for young farmers, on 23 October 1954. Fifteen-year-old Henk Ardon entered using a CJ-3B lent to him for two weeks by Netherlands Kaiser-Frazer in Rotterdam. With a Monroe implement lift and a Hercules plow, and competing against eight tractors, Henk and the Jeep placed fifth.
