Unstoppable! 'What Should I Do?' — Acts 22:10
Thursday, October 19, 2023
[Paul reached the dramatic moment in his defense before the crowd in Jerusalem. After telling of the revelation where Jesus spoke to him, Paul continued:] "I asked, 'What should I do, Lord?'"
— Acts 22:10 NLT
Key Thought
I encourage people to read through each of the four gospels in the New Testament — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John — during at least one quarter each year. The total number of chapters is 89, so this reading plan can be followed by reading one chapter per day. While reading, each person should ask three key questions related to Paul's crucial question in today's verse:
Lord, what do you want me to know?
Lord, how do you want me to feel?
Lord, what do you want me to do?
My challenge to each of us is to ask these questions each day. Paul's question was life-changing for him. He made a dramatic U-turn in his life. He was never the same. As we ask these questions each day, we can re-tune our lives to the ways of Jesus. Let's ask these questions as we begin each day!
Today's Prayer
Lord Jesus, you gave your life for me. You defeated the power of sin, death, and hell through your death, burial, and resurrection. You rose triumphantly and reign as God's Son in power and with grace. Please, Lord Jesus, help me know what I need to do each day to honor you and tune my life to your will. Amen!
