18. Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.19. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. 20. He that is our God is the God of our salvation; and unto God the Lord belong the issues from death. 21. But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.Psalm 68:18-21 The psalmist speaks of Christ's ascension from earth to heaven, in the sight of angels and men. Christ's death gained freedom from those spiritually bound by Satan, sin, and death. Christ secured the gifts of the Holy Ghost and gave them to men freely even to rebellious, disobedient, and sinful men, as all are before conversion. Christ has blessed every follower with an abundance of spiritual blessings and also meets their daily needs. Christ's death won a spiritual victory over sin, He paid our debt with His blood, becoming our Savior, and rescuing His followers from spiritual death. Just as in life, there are rewards and consequences, so when our time here ends, we will all appear before Christ, now is the time to decide, is He going to be your Savior or your Judge. Today is the day, now is the acceptable time, to choose life in Christ. Amen.
