9. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.13. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Psalm 51:9-13 The psalmist being a man of God, yet not perfect, seeks God's forgiveness for his sins. Asking God who sees everything, to blot out all remembrances of his sins. This word create, in Hebrew is Bara, meaning made out of nothing, same word is used when God created the heaven and earth out of nothing. We were born in sin, no one need teach us, it is in us. But salvation is of Christ, and with it comes a new heart, a new nature, yet we still fall short, we need that communication with God, to restore what sin destroyed. We need that right standing before God, to be able to teach others. A drunk will never be able to sober up another drunk. And a sinner with no repentance will never lead a lost soul to Christ. Amen.
