14. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,15. Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,18. May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;19. And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all fulness of God.Ephesians 3:14-19 Paul's letter to the believers in Ephesus. To encourage them not to be troubled about him being in prison, for preaching the Gospel, nor to lose hope. He prays for them. To the Father of all things created, that they be strengthened and exercise the work of resisting Satan's temptations, and corruption, and be strong to the end, as was his example. That by the love of Christ, they would hold fast to their faith, in his absence. His prayer includes, that Christ be in their hearts, that their love is grounded, anchored, in Him, and shared with others. With the goal of, in this world, being able through the Spirit, to know the love of God, through Christ, the saving power of our Savior's love, the breadth, length, depth, and height, we are not able to measure. Amen.
