16. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
17. Learn to do well; seek judgement, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Isaiah 1:16-18
Isaiah speaks of the vision God gave him. This is almost 2,800 years before Christ came. The message is still the same.
We are sinners, every sin is under the penalty of death, stealing a penny will keep you out of heaven.
This message is Christ saying come let's talk, I am here to help, leave all that is destroying you behind, and follow me.
Sin separates us from God, a Christ has by His death paved the rode back to the Father with His blood.
These are God's words not mine.
Charles Spurgeon said, " The Lord knows very well that you cannot change your own heart and cannot cleanse your own nature. However, He also knows that he can do both. Hear this and be astonished. He can create you a second time. He can cause you to be born again." Amen.
