16. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also our found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.18. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.18. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I may live unto God.Galatians 2:16-19 The law, the commandments, required perfect sinless obedience, and holds the guilty to the sentence of death. There is no place for mercy, or grace, you are guilty or innocent. Therefore there is no salvation in the law. No flesh can be justified by it, justified, meaning, just as if I never sinned. Christ, who is God, came in the form of a man, fulfilled all the requirements of the law, was put to death as sinner, being without sin, He died in our place. Our debt to sin, has been paid. We have no covering but the Righteousness of Christ, any attempt of man to add or take away from the gospel of salvation is vain, and will not stand. Paul, a Pharisee, before his conversion, says, now he is found a transgressor of the law, putting all his faith in Christ, for there is no error in the God of our salvation. And though the law judged, and condemned us, Christ died, that we may live unto Him. It is a life of denial of self, of sin, of the world, it is a daily battle. Your battle plan is in the Bible, if you are not filled with it, you are easy prey to Satan. This is the only offensive weapon, for attacking evil, you are helplessly weak, there is no hope for victory. Fight, renew your mind, thoughts, actions, with God's word, it is no accident that it is the best selling book in the world. Amen.
