The US Marine Corps F-35 fighter jet crashed in South Carolina, after the pilot ejected safely. Searchers have found a debris field in a lake northeast of Joint Base Charleston. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The F-35 fighter jet went missing north of Charleston, South Carolina, during a training mission.The pilot, who has not been named, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.
