3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:4. ( For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Paul's instruction, though we are alive in this body, in a state of imperfection and weakness, we can not make war against Satan, in this state. Every believer is at war with Satan, the world, sin, our own heart and desires. We can not fight a spiritual battle in this body. The weapons needed are from God, and it is the Word of God. Christ fought off Satan, with, " It is written." And if you do not know the Word of God, you face your foe, with no power to defeat. The battle is for your mind, for the body does what the mind says, it needs to be filled with the Gospel, so you may submit yourself to God and resist Satan. Christ did not die to leave you defenseless, He is in you to share His victory with you, but you must do battle, Christ has fulfilled His part, victory, does not come by wishing, it come with a fight. Reading God's word, the Sword of Truth, never conceding, always alert, trusting that Christ has subdued all, and is aware of your situation. Satan is not going to quit, so if your want to win, cover yourself with Christ, the undefeated, God. Amen.
