U.S. Army Major General Saw a Missile Hit the Pentagon
When the first attempted bombing of the World Trade Center didn't work on February 26, 1993, the story goes that a contractor was hired to repaint the interior of the structure as well as all of the interior walls; but what most people can't seem to fathom is that the paint contained thermite, which caused the structure to collapse.
If you aren't aware of what thermite is, google it. Railroads use it to fuse ribbon rail together. Thermite, which is a mix of iron oxide rust and aluminum powder, burns at 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit. It takes an extremely hot ignition temperature to set it off. The temperature of a welder would do it. Or the temperature of jet fuel. Steel melts at 2,750°F, and jet fuel burns at temperatures of 800-1,500°F, so it doesn't reach the melting point of steel but rather holds about half its strength when heated up to 1,100°F.
