23. For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:24. And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.25. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.26. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.1 Corinthians 11:23-26 Paul speaks what he received from the Lord, and reveals the revelation of the Lord's supper. Christ after giving thanks to His Father, broke the bread, as a symbol of His body being broken for our healing. Isaiah 53:5. Saying remember Me when you do this. And after, He took the cup, saying, "Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for the remission of sins." This is the new contract with God, the old covenant, sanctified by the blood of bulls, the new covenant, sanctified by Christ's blood. The word covenant in Greek, diatheke, defined as a contract. The word, remission, in Greek, aphesis, meaning, forgiveness or pardon of sins, released from the penalty, ( letting them go as if they had never been committed). This is Christ's love shown to all who will repent, turning to Him, who paid, the only acceptable price for sin. His blood. Hebrews 9:23. Amen.
