1. Out of the depths have I cried under thee, O LORD.
2. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4. But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5. I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
Psalm 130:1-5πŸ™πŸ»
The psalmist out of the distress of sin, cries out to God, from the bottom of his heart, in sincerity.
Our God is a hearing God, and His ears pay close attention, to all who come in repentance.
What man could stand before God, with his soul stained with sin?
Yet, forgiveness has been offered through Christ. He and only He, is the acceptable sacrifice for sin, the plan was laid out by the Almighty, that God would be revered by His creations.
The psalmist waits on the Lord, and so do I.
His soul waits, and so does mine. And we have hope in His word.
God's word is true, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are dependent on filling ourselves with God's word. It is powerful, with His word, He created all things. It is the very tool Christ used, to defeat Satan's attack in the dessert, "He said, It is written," God's word is sure, and faithful, there is treasure in the Bible, but you must dig through it, to find it. Amen.
