12. What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits towards me?13. I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD. 14. I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.15. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.Psalm 116:12-15 The psalmist, ponders all that he has received from the Lord, and the question, what could he give back. The benefits from the Lord, divine favor, providence, the things provided by God, life, food, clothing, grace, spiritual blessings, sanctification, adoption, pardon, justification, and eternal life. He speaks of taking the salvation offered, and living in it, and keeping the promises he made to God in times of trouble. There was never anyone born a saint, a saint, is sanctified by God, and set apart for Him to use. We have all fallen short of this. But Christ sanctified us with His blood, and has removed the curse of eternal punishment, for He took that on Himself. And we are free, yet we have an appointed day, that we will leave this world, but we shall be with Christ. Amen.
