18. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20. Where is the wise? where is the scribe?where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Corinthians
1:18-21 πŸ™πŸ»
All mankind are in a lost condition because of sin. And the carnal man cannot receive the things of God, for he has no heart for it. He cannot be converted, because he sees no reason to change his way of life, he has no faith in the Son of God, His sacrifice, His blood atonement, His gift of eternal life. And he thinks he is wiser, then a believer. Who gives up the pleasure of this world, for the love of Christ.
And God has made those wise, at the end fools, and the believer, cast out, and thought a fool, God shall, prove wise. And they shall be forever with Him.
In my early 20's I turned my nose up at those that witnessed for Christ. And how now I wished I had listened, my life would not have been filled with such heart ache, and regret.
But I praise Jesus, for when I came to Him, He did not cast me out. And we are now closer to His return, and He is not coming back as a helpless baby, but as a King, and Judge.
I will take Christ as Savior, for I know right well that I deserved hell. Amen.
