32. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
33. Blessed is a man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
5. I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
Psalm 32:1-5
The psalmist by first hand experience, speaks of the blessedness of a person who is forgiven of their sin. This word forgiven in Hebrew, is defined, as the sin being lifted away, carried away, swept away, to cause one to bear it.
Christ is the one who carried our sin in His own body. We can no longer be charged, with what has been carried away. We shall be declared not guilty, at Christ's expense.
With this forgiveness, comes the promise, that God, will not hold us accountable, or impute sin, to our account.
Sin carries a burden here on earth, it has a destructive force, and without Christ's blood covering in the life after, there is no forgiveness from judgment.
The Lord provided a way back to God, by taking our place, and dying in our place. His mercy is without measure, confess to the Lord, repent, meaning turn from sin, and receive, His pardon. Amen.
