3. Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
4. For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.
5. For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
6. Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
Psalm 135:3-6πŸ™πŸ»
The Lord is good to all men. And in a way of special unmerited favor to His people.
God has chosen Israel as His own, and for His service. His own peculiar treasure.
This word peculiar in Hebrew means, valued property, taken to Himself, as Kings take gold, silver, and jewels.
We have been adopted into this family, because of Christ, and share in the Father's love.
It is impossible to understand the greatness of Christ, in all He created in heaven, and on the earth.
Yet we can see His love for us, in the sacrifice of His own life, that we may be with Him, for all eternity. Amen.
