27. And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.28. But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.29. Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,30. And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?31. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:27-31 Paul and Silas, while praying, a great earthquake shakes the prison, and all their bonds fell off, and the doors opened. Paul is concerned about the guard taking his own life, most men would care less what became of him. The guard never seeing men that would not flea at the first opportunity, seeks to be in the same position as them. And with respect, asks what he must do to be saved. And it has not changed in over 2000 years, believe in the Lord Jesus. And he and all his house believed, were baptized, and are members with all who have gained eternal life. Amen.
