The space-time continuum predicted by Einstein, captured by the James Webb Space Telescope.
The three white boxes show close-ups of the same galaxy.
The galaxy appears three times because there's a galaxy cluster nearby that's so massive, it warps time and space around it.
This creates a really cool effect called gravitational lensing that magnifies, multiplies, and distorts other galaxies in the background. The effect is similar to a lens, hence the name "lensing." 😀
I ❤️ astrophysics.
I have more fun facts about the Webb Telescope on my website, be sure to check them out just click the link in my bio!
