But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth.9. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.10. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;11. Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taking up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Acts 1:8-11 🙏🏻 Jesus before He ascended into heaven, reminds His followers of the promise of the Holy Ghost. Now I am a witness, that many of Christ's followers of my generation have received this promise, and I have witnessed miracles. We are dependent on the Spirit, so we can be faithful in our witness of Christ. Now the promise of Christ's return is told clearly to His followers that were there when He ascended, and when He comes, it will be as a Victorious King, not a helpless infant. Amen.
