1. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.2. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.3. How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, as a tottering fence.4. They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.5. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. Psalm 62:1-5 Here we have another example of King David's knowledge of Christ. He waits patiently on Christ, for his salvation. He knows Christ is the foundation of salvation, Christ defends His own. And there is no one who can move those standing on Christ, from the way. Though there be many who would imagine evil, against a good man, there was none better than Christ. His adversaries, are put down as easily as wall ready to fall, or a fence near collapse. The enemies of God's people, do their best, to discourage them from looking to Christ, the Rock. From trusting Him, to fulfill His promises. All those who have trusted Christ, can wait, patiently, quietly, with expectation, and hope, for Christ is true to His word, His promises are yes, and let it be so. Amen.
