14. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:15. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:14-18 Numbers 21:8speaks of the brazen serpent made by Moses in the dessert, those bitten by the fiery serpents, if they looked at the serpent, would be healed. Jesus was lifted up on the cross, for our sins. He came to earth sinless, and died the same, except He bore our sins, in His body taking our punishment of death. For God so loved the world, that He sent Jesus to save it. But not all will believe, and that is a very important. For it is for those who believe in Christ, who are born of the Spirit, who repent of their sins, and walk the narrow path of Christ. Believing Christ, means, His death has changed the way you think, speak, live, and act. Believing means, you live for Christ not self, and this comes with the reward of eternal life. Let us this day look to Christ, the only Son of God, the only One who can saves us. Amen.
