If fewer gun laws and easier access to them resulted in more mass shootings, wouldn't they have been much more prevalent in the early 20th century, when we you could literally walk into a sporting goods store and buy a fully automatic weapon, or order one through the mail, with no background check or even a record of the purchase, than they are now, with the many federal, state, and local laws enacted since then? It's not the guns, it's the people. Sick, twisted people, created by a sick, twisted society. I don't know how to fix it, but I know giving more power to government won't help. If you think more laws will reduce or stop random gun violence, you're just not thinking logically. You're displaying an emotional response to a terrible situation. It's only natural. Which is exactly what politicians who seek to make us more dependant on them want. You're being played.
