3. If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4. He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmising,
5. Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdrawal thyself.
6. But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1 Timothy 6:3-7 ??
Paul warns his understudy Timothy, that there are enemies, to the Gospel message, and especially to Christ's own words.
Remember how the serpent in the garden caused doubt in God's word.
These enemies, are without God's power, refusing His Salvation, they cause envy, strife, and disputes, being full of wicked opinions.
Wealth is not a proof of godliness, nor is poverty, a proof of God's neglect.
From such, who teach this, distance yourself.
Be satisfied with what gifts, God has bestowed on you, with thanksgiving.
And naked we came into this world, and naked we shall leave, so use your gifts wisely, and store your treasure in heaven. Amen.
