1. Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3. Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Psalm 2:1-5πŸ™πŸ»
The psalmist's song is of Christ. And the heathen, are the Gentiles, those not of Abraham. And these people worship idols that are without power and vain.
To this very day, you yourselves are witness, that there are a vast amount of people, that are against Christ, and the laws of God.
They have remove God and prayer from schools, and taken any form of His law out of government and court systems.
They have broken the bands of Righteousness, and cast away the cords of law, that restricted sin.
In that God and His law has been removed, the void has been filled with Satan, and every evil, filthy, degeneration, that men can please themselves with.
So as God looks from the heavens, He laughs at their fate, for they have refused the Savior, and adopted the slayer of their souls, when they appear before Him, instead of mercy, they shall have contemp.
Instead of a welcome home, they shall experience His wrath, and be vex with His displeasure. Verse 12. is a warning, Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from your evil ways.
Amen.
