2. And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;3. The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.4. The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;7. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. 2 Samuel 22: 2-7 🙏🏻 King David shows his relationship with Christ, before, Christ came to this earth. He declared Christ was his foundation, his security, his protection, his hope was built on Christ's ability to give him eternal life, and keep him from harm. He declared Christ, was his deliverer, from affliction, temptation, from his enemies, from sin, death, and from the wrath to come. He calls Christ, Saviour, who is able to keep him out of the reach of Satan, Christ is our high tower. Hell and death would have consumed him, but God was his defense, David put not his faith in men. His heart belonged to God, his trust, his life, his soul, and for this reason, God heard him, and acted with favor towards him, so it is with all who put their trust in Christ. Amen.
