Facing firearms-related charges was Davon Flewellen-Beltonon, 18. Apparently, an altercation between Duncan and Eubanks prompted Flewellen-Beltonon and his father to get involved. Reports say the three black males — Eubanks, Flewellen-Belton, and Flewellen-Belton's 44-year-old father — discharged firearms. Duncan may have been armed. He also may have been unaware of the dangers of living in an urban jungle environment. The incident apparently occurred in a grassy area at an apartment complex. Earlier that same evening a 47-year-old man had been found nearby with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
