1. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2. I will say of the LORD, he is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome from pestilence.
4. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Psalm 91:1-5
He that dwells in the secret place of the Almighty, has first found Christ as Savior.
And Christ has become the safe place of protection.
Sins punishment, pardoned, we can come close to God, and live in His shadow.
Christ has defeated Satan, who sets the snares of sin, to destroy the people of God.
This word noisome, in Hebrew, means a deep pit, chasm, having an extremely offensive smell. It came to mean, a deadly evil.
There are some who move even closer to the Almighty, now under His wing, covered by His feathers. So close that the truth of who Christ is, has been revealed, and Christ has become their eternal protection.
So that nothing by night or day, can remove them from God's loving presence. Amen.
