23. Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? and he said unto them,24. Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able .25. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:26. Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.27. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. Luke 13:23-27 A person from the crowd asks Christ is every one in Israel to be saved or just a few. Christ answers, strive to enter in the way provided in the Gospel, be diligent to the scriptures, pray earnestly for spiritual light, knowledge, and grace. And contend with every enemy that opposes salvation of the soul. Such as Satan, sin, the world, the world has many roads, the Gospel, has but one, Christ. If you don't care where your going any road will get you there. Many shall seek the reward, having nothing to do with Christ. They shall be turned away. Even those, so close as to knock, at the door. For Christ knows His own, and will not share His reward, with the unbelieving, who continue in their iniquities. For those that profess Christ, but have no change in heart, nor in their behavior, having no knowledge of salvation, nor covered in Christ's blood, He will cast out, these are the saddest words to hear from Christ, "Depart from Me, I never knew you.
