18. Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19. It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
20. And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21. It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
Luke 13:18-21
Christ in a simple way explains the kingdom of God.
The man throws this small seed into his garden.
The field could be the world, the garden, the church.
The gospel started with Christ, it's beginning small, but it has in 2000 years, grown world wide.
Again He says, a woman, took leaven, and put it in dough, and though we do not see it work, it continues, until all the dough, begins to rise.
The gospel, spoken to a few of God's people, has spread to the Gentiles, and now world wide.
We each have an opportunity, men and women, to share how Christ, and His message have rescued us.
How we have been taken from darkness, and destruction, and brought into the Light. Christ saving us, and giving us eternal life. Amen.
