13. They gapped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.14. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.15. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.16. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and feet.17. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.18. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my venture. Psalm 22:13-18 This Psalm is a song of mourning, such is the title. The psalmist having written this 1044 years before Christ came to us. Proving King David had a relationship with Christ before His birth. It is very clear this song is of Christ's crucifixion. The people He came to save, cried out crucify Him, like a pack of dogs they surrounded Him, He was poured out as an offering for sin. The Almighty set His wrath on Him, He carried our punishment in His own flesh. His bones out of joint from being stretched on the cross. His heart melted like wax, under the Father's wrath. His moisture dried up at the loss of blood, and He was brought to the door of death for our sins. There can be no misunderstanding that this is not Christ, for they pierced His hands and feet, they divided His clothes among His executioners, and for His seemless coat the gambled for who would receive it. All this shows the love of Christ, for every lost sinner. Amen.
