When I worked in Law Enforcement I tried to model my hero Andy Griffith. Though I did carry a weapon, I always tried to keep the communities best interests in mind. I always asked myself "What is the right thing to do?". I never abused powers. I believed in the concept of "Community Policing". This morning I found that my utility trailer was stolen from my driveway. It had two locks on it and was in front of our cars next to the garage door. We called the Ardmore Police Department and reported it. The officer that responded spent less than 5 minutes with us. I am 100% confident that he gave 0 shits. I am also 100% confident they won't find my trailer. I am also 100% confident they are paid off my tax dollars. I am also 100% confident that if I was speeding he would give me a ticket. Do you see the problem here? Do we really need the Police, or could we deal with the problems yourself better?
