Suddenly, a strong current dragged his boat away from the shore.+He was stranded in open sea for 24 days and survived by eating a bottle of ketchup, garlic powder and Maggi cubes. On Jan. 16, someone spotted him from a plane and rescued him.+After hearing about Elvis’ story, Heinz posted on Instagram that it was looking for him. The company wanted to buy him “a new boat equipped with full navigational technology to avoid another disaster in the future.” +Many people reposted the message, and Heinz and Elvis finally met on February 24 via Zoom.+"Heinz was able to contact Elvis and discuss the best way to help support him and his family," a Heinz spokesperson commented.
