13. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.14. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.15. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.16. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.17. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;18. To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.Psalm 103:13-18 The Almighty stands as a Father, to all who reverence Him, who follow Christ the Son. His children are adopted by grace, a sovereign act of His own will, by sending Christ to redeem them. The children of the Lord reverence Him with a godly fear, not a fear of terror, but as children who love their father. God knows how frail and weak we are, that we are dust, to that we shall return. We are here for such a short time, and many waste the days they could have honored Christ. The mercy of God, can never be exhausted, for it is as eternal as Christ. To all who love God, and follow in His ways. We cannot earn salvation with obedience, yet, we will obey out of love and respect, for what Christ, accomplished, in His death. Amen.
