1. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
2. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
3. Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
4. For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
5. Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
6. In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening is cut down, and withereth.
Psalm 90:1-6
Christ, as Lord, has been in every generation, and His people who believe in Him, dwell in His heart.
God has been God, before anything was created. And He shall continue as God after creation has ceased.
God is eternal, time has no effect on Him, we are not such in this world, we are on a ticking clock, and no man knows when his time is up.
As the flood in Noah's time, destroyed the unbelieving wicked, so has death preyed on mankind and will continue.
Like grass we grow and fade away, some sooner than others.
Yet the believer in Christ, has nothing to fear, since by the Cross, Christ has redeemed His own, unto life eternal. Amen
