1. In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.2. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defense to save me.3. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.4. Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.5. Into thy hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. Psalm 31:1-5 The psalmist teaches, what does not come naturally, to put all our trust in Christ. For we are delivered by His Righteousness alone. The Lord so gracious, as He would listen, to those who would cry out for salvation. Christ is our Rock, the foundation of our salvation, the defense against Satan, our refuge, and eternal place of safety. Because His name, Immanuel, means, God with us. We have all been pulled into the net of destruction, the snares, laid in secret, by Satan, and ungodly men. But Christ has by the cross, won our victory, and pulled us out, we being, bought by His blood. We can trust Christ, with our eternal spirit, He created us, He died to save us, there is no other Saviour. Amen.
