1. I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be safed from mine enemies.
4. The sorrows of death compassed me about: and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even unto his ears.
Psalm 18:1-6
I pray you can see this, how prophetic this song is of Christ, the Man.
Who as a man, put all His love, trust, and hope, in Jehovah the Father.
And in the same breath, the psalmist, put his trust in Christ, his foundation, his place of refuge, his strength, his shield, his salvation, and a place of safety.
Hell and death are never satisfied, death is sure, sin the cause, Christ, the cure. So all of us have earned hell, yet the repentant sinner, cries out to Christ, and is heard, redeemed, saved from destruction.
Christ's blood, is the only power, that can remove the stains of sins, from guilty men. Amen.
