Here is my physics problem as listed in other threads:
How long will a BBQ LP can last (how long can one make it last) @ output of 2HP constant?
Physics steam problem: Pic on wimkin 2-27-'23:
All presumptions approximate, with sizes of tubes and openings TBD.
“As built” with operational measurements of effective RPM also accepted.
A- LP tank pressure reduced to workable constant, from regulator or valve opening.
B- LP pressure (in flow) 50 PSI, @ 1 Gal/HR(?).
C- “Solder mix tip (from small solder tank set to start), above ambient pressure not required.
D- Ignition
E- Slight pressure flame chamber; 250F constant?.
F- Venturii effect to mix and heat water (-10 PSI under ambient,@ 20 gal/hour @ about 200F)
G- Pressure stroke (50 PSI x 2 sq. in. = 100 lbs?).
H- Water tank (with water separator in exhaust feed available).
I- water shut off/flow control.
J- Pre-absorbtion pressure tank; size TBD, to allow steam pressure to build enough volume to fill piston chamber at the required RPM (200F, 50 PSI, slightly more volume than piston chamber.
K- Exhaust both pressure and temperature close to ambient (the better). Size and materials limited.
L- Pressure stabilizer/holes in intake valve [for flame maintenance].
M- Former spark plug / optional injection for late materials experiments.
