7. Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, an answer me.8. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.9. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.10. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.11. Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies. Psalm 27:7-11 The psalmist in a time of distress, cries out to the Lord. With confidence that he will be heard. And having faith that his iniquities were forgiven, he would be delivered out of his temporary distresses. To seek the face of the Lord, is to be in His presence, and to have fellowship with Him, this is a personal thing and cannot be done by someone else. If you would seek the Almighty, you must come by the way of Christ. It is through Christ we gain access. King David had access to Christ as a converted man, and we have the same opportunity. Though the closest to us forsake us, Christ will not. Ever present in every time of our life, and at the end, to gather us up into glory. All who seek Christ, will seek to be instructed in His ways, for He is our example, He will never ask us to do what He Himself has not already done. We are blessed in Christ, for He has gained us a victory over Satan, sin, death, and hell, and given freely eternal life, to all who follow in His steps. Amen.
