3. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;4. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?5. For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.6. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:7. All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;8. The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. Psalm 8:3-8🙏🏻 The psalmist considers creation, and gives credit to God, for every thing. This is the first thing you trust when you become a believer. Christ made everything. John 1:1. The psalmist speaks in this song of Christ, created as a man, though lower than an angel, but still God. Now picture the eternal God, becoming a frail man, to become a servant to men, to live sinless, and die a death of a criminal, to pay the debt men owe to sin. He was humiliated, beaten, and murdered on the cross for sins, not His own. Therefore the Almighty has given Him a name above all names, and set Him on a throne at His righthand. Everything is under Him, who created it all. He is the author of our salvation, there is no other. Amen.
