15. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
16. For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17. Fools because of their transgressions, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
19. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Psalm 107
15-20 πŸ™πŸ»
The psalmist expresses nothing less than salvation by Christ the Lord.
That men would acknowledge His, goodness, grace, and mercy.
His great work on the cross, that made access to heaven possible, He has broken down the bars of the prison of sin, death, and hell.
All who refuse Christ, bring affliction on themselves, they cannot discern perverse things, neither can they understand the Gospel of Christ, or the Word of God.
Yet, the mercy of Christ is shown, in that while they were in the middle of their destructions, the word being plural, because sin brings many evils, they cried out to the Lord, and He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
Amen, Christ is the Living Word of God. Savior of mankind, there is no other acceptable sacrifice. Amen
