2. My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
3. Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
4. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
5. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
6. Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
Psalm 84: 2-6
The psalmist longs to be in the house of the Lord, for the very purpose of being with the Living God.
He is jealous of the birds that make their nests in safety there.
Now his witness is Christ is King, and God, few men had this knowledge in his day.
The blessing are not for those that just enter the house of God, but for those whose hearts remain, still praising Him after they leave, and in whose strength they leave, following His ways.
This valley of Baca, valley of weeping, is a desert place those traveling to Jerusalem would enter, not being able to carry enough water, this place was dry. But God would case the Autumn rain to fill basins of rock with water.
In your spiritual journey, you may go through a valley of weeping, but God has not left you, His promise, never to leave you is faithful. It will not be your tears that fill the pools, but God's blessings.
The same sun that melts the wax, hardens the clay, and the sun's power does not change.
The power of repentance, will soften some, to turn towards Christ, others it will harden, it's power changes not, it effects what's inside you. Amen.
