18. Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.19. Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. 20. He that is our God is the God of our salvation; and unto God the Lord belongs the issues from death.21. But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such as one as goeth on still in his trespasses.Psalm 68:18-21 The psalmist pens this song, 1045 years before Christ's birth. And speaks prophetically of Christ's ascending from earth, to heaven, from where He came, His mission completed. Christ conquered our spiritual enemy Satan, a total defeat at the Cross, leading us in victory over, sin, Satan, eternal death and punishment. The gifts of the Holy Ghost, Christ received, from His Father, to give to men, even unbelieving and rebellious, as Saul of Tarsus. Christ has blessed us with all spiritual blessings, with grace and mercy. The author of our salvation, He is the God of our salvation. Every follower of Christ, has been delivered from the punishment of sin, and the judgement, which is death. Yet there will be those that follow Satan, being caught in the pleasure of sin, only to enter into eternal destruction at the end. Amen.
