1. Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
5. I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
The guilt of sin, is a heavy burden, the punishment intolerable, forgiveness is the removal of sins guilt and punishment. It can only be achieved through Christ.
Our righteousness is filthiness before a holy God. It is Christ's righteousness that covers sin and it's curse, which is death.
Christ has settled the account of sin the debt is paid, no more may God think on it, it being covered by the blood of Christ.
Those who trust Christ, have been made aware of their sin. Being made aware of a debt that cannot be paid, only the blood of Christ is accepted.
In truth we acknowledge our sin, confess it to God, for against Him did we sin, and He is able to forgive and pardon, to seek any other way is vanity.
To put off the grace of God, to delay what needs be done for the eternal soul, being it has been paid in full, is foolishness, of the highest degree, seeing you have no guarantee of your next breath. Amen.
